“Assembly to Energize Japan” changes its group name

 The new party called the “Assembly to Energize Japan” informed the House of Councillors Secretariat on Jan. 26 that it will change its group name to the “Assembly to Energize Japan and Club of Independents.” The party said that the name has been changed because two of its lawmakers have not obtained party membership.

 

 At the ongoing regular Diet session convened on Jan. 26, the balances of power in the two Diet houses are as follows:
