 Liberal Democratic Party General Council Chairman Toshihiro Nikai said on April 29 regarding the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB): “Seeking to emotionally keep AIIB in check is meaningless. Both Japan and the U.S. should speak up about issues in question concerning the AIIB to bring about a better result.” In this way Nikai expressed a positive view toward considering Japan’s participation in the AIIB.
