 The Defense Ministry’s South Kanto Defense Bureau informed Shizuoka Prefecture on May 21 that an MV-22 Osprey stationed at the U.S. Marine Corps’ Futenma Air Station (Ginowan City in Okinawa Prefecture) might fly to the East Fuji Maneuver Area of the Ground Self-Defense Force (located in Gotemba, Susono, and Oyama) from on June 3-4 and conduct landing training there. An MV-22 Osprey made a crash landing on the island of Oahu in Hawaii on May 18.
