Airbus S.A.S Chief Executive Officer Fabrice Bregier said on June 18 in a press conference held at the venue of the Paris Air Show regarding the Skymark rehabilitation plan, “I will examine the two plans,” avoiding making a definite statement. Two rehabilitation plans have been presented for reconstructing Skymark that went bankrupt, which is an unprecedented situation: one from Skymark backed by the ANA Holdings Inc., and the other from the Intrepid, a U.S. aircraft leasing company, the largest creditor.

Airbus is the second largest creditor after Intrepid. Bregier emphasized: “The company has a large credit,” because Skymark failed to fulfill the purchase order, although I placed an order to purchase “A380s.” The CEO explained, “It is important for the rehabilitation plan to be in the best interest of Skymark’s future, as well as in the best interest of Airbus.
