Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said at a press conference on June 30, “We will make efforts to hold at an appropriate time” a summit meeting between the leaders of Japan and South Korea. He said that “nothing has been decided” about when to hold the summit. He added: “Our country’s door is always open for dialogue. Our position is that the two countries should hold a dialogue without any conditions.”
