A meeting on the National Strategic Special Zones was held on Nov. 26. The government, which has designated the special zones as areas where regulations will be eased, decided on 14 projects in total for 4 different regions including Tokyo, Kansai, Aichi Prefecture, and Niigata City. One of the projects is to privatize the specialized course at a prefectural high school in Aichi Prefecture.

In the Tokyo region, childcare facilities will be opened in urban parks in the metropolitan area and a medical department will be newly established at the International University of Health and Welfare in Narita City in Chiba Prefecture. The government also decided on a medical plan for the Kansai region and an agricultural plan for Niigata City.
