13 Osaka Ishin members form parliamentary group

 The Japan Innovation Party on Dec. 9 notified the Lower House secretariat of the resignations of 19 House of Representatives members, including Mikio Shimoji, who have joined Osaka Ishin no Kai.

 

 Following this, 13 Diet members of Osaka Ishin tendered their resignations to the JIP and formed the parliamentary group “Osaka Ishin no Kai.” Lower House member Sakihito Ozawa and three other Lower House members also formed the parliamentary “Group of Reformists.” As a result, the balance of power in the Lower House is as follows:
