Met with Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Masahiko Shibayama. Then met with Japan-U.S. Business Council Chairman Kunio Ishihara et al.


Held a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of Education Rebuilding. Thereafter, attended a ceremony to commend leading companies where women shine. Then met with Shigeru Uchida, secretary-general of the LDP’s Tokyo chapter. Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Koichi Hagiuda was present.


Met with Minister in Charge of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Toshiaki Endo. After he left, met with Minister in Charge of Economic Revitalization Akira Amari, Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Kazuyoshi Honkawa, Chief Domestic Coordinator Toyonari Sasaki, and Deputy Chief Negotiator Hiroshi Oe of the Governmental Headquarters for the TPP.


Met with Minister Amari, Cabinet Office Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination Masao Nishikawa, and Director-General for Economic Research Hiroshi Tawa. Then met with Flower Princess Hyogo Marie Morita et al.


Met with Dr. Takako Ueta, professor at International Christian University. Then met with Sankei Shimbun President Takamitsu Kumasaka, Politics Bureau Chief Takashi Arimoto, and former Seoul Bureau Chief Tatsuya Kato. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga was present.


Gave an interview to Yukan Fuji. Thereafter recorded a video message for the portal site for the Ise-Shima Summit.


Met with Minister in Charge of Administrative Reform Taro Kono and Toshihiko Wako, Director-General for Personnel Policy Planning at the Cabinet Bureau of Personnel Affairs. Minister Kono stayed behind. Next attended a meeting of the Ministerial Council on the Monthly Economic Report and Other Relative Issues.


Met with Nicholas E. Benes, representative director of the Board Director Training Institute of Japan, and Fumio Nagase, chairman of Imagica Robot Holdings Inc. Then met with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Shinsuke Sugiyama. After he left, met with Asian Peace Making Center President Haruo Nishihara et al.


Dined with former Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Akihiro Ohta and Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga at Izumi, a Japanese restaurant in Akasaka.
