NHK reported on Sunday evening on in its one-on-one interview with visiting Deputy Secretary Blinken that was conducted earlier in the day in Tokyo. The network said that the Deputy Secretary strongly condemned North Korea’s nuclear test on January 6, and said: “The only way we are going to get North Korea to move back to denuclearization is a very significant sanction.” He also reportedly said that China holds the key and he plans to visit Beijing this week to urge China to impose stronger sanctions on North Korea.
