Plurality of public cautious about constitutional revision

This morning’s Asahi front-paged the results of a public opinion survey showing that some 46% of respondents said they don’t want parties supportive of constitutional revision to win a two-thirds majority in the upcoming Upper House election in the summer, whereas 33% said otherwise. PM Abe’s approval rate stood at 42%, up four points from a month ago, while disapproval was 38%, down two points. Only 31% were in favor of the comprehensive security laws, with 52% against the legislation.
