About 200 security legislation scholars and lawyers who are opposed to the security legislation joined hands to set up a group aimed at reinstating a constitutional government on Jan. 19.

The “national movement committee on reinstating a constitutional government” will support various campaigns against the security legislation. It will also take the initiative in analyzing and disseminating information from an academic perspective to encourage the public to think about how politics should function, with an eye on the upcoming House of Councillors election.
