FM Kishida criticizes China over sanctions against North Korea

(Mainichi: February 24, 2016 – p. 3)

Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida delivered a speech on Feb. 23 in Tokyo. Referring in the speech to the sanctions proposed by the UN Security Council against North Korea in response to its nuclear test and de facto long-range ballistic missile launch, Kishida criticized China without mentioning the country by name, saying, “Further delay in the adoption of sanctions against North Korea is nothing short of the UNSC abdicating its responsibilities.”
