NHK reported on its website this morning that South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that North Korea attempted to launch a Musudan middle-range ballistic missile early this morning, but the launch failed. The network said a USG official told the network that North Korea launched a missile but the missile exploded right after the launch. The U.S. official reportedly said it was unclear what kind of missile it was.
