Diet members leave for Beijing

NHK reported that LDP Vice President Komura and other members of the Japan-China Friendship Parliamentarians’ Union left for Beijing this morning. The network said that during their three-day stay the lawmakers are expected to meet with former foreign minister Tang as well as senior Chinese government officials with the hope of further improving the relationship between the two nations. The officials are expected to discuss China’s maritime advancement in the South China Sea as well as North Korea’s ongoing provocations.
