Saturday’s Asahi wrote that TEPCO announced on Friday that it will temporarily suspend its decommissioning work at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant during the G7 Ise-Shima Summit as part of Japan’s efforts to head off acts of terrorism. Yomiuri wrote that Universal Studios Japan in Osaka will conduct baggage screening of all visitors to the park on May 26 and 27 as a counterterrorism step. This will be the first time for the theme park operator to conduct security checks of all guests.
