Japan, Kuwait agree on cooperation

Mainichi wrote that Prime Minister Abe held talks on Thursday at the Kantei with his Kuwaiti counterpart Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in such areas as energy, environment, and infrastructure development. Tokyo Shimbun also reported on the meeting, adding that the two leaders agreed to cooperate in achieving peace and stability in the Middle East and that Abe told the Kuwaiti leader that the situation in the Middle East is one of the main items on the agenda for discussion at the G7 summit.
