Met with Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Yasuhisa Shiozaki at the Prime Minister’s Office [Kantei].


Met with Director of the LDP’s National Defense Division Taku Otsuka, et al., followed by Minister for Reconstruction Tsuyoshi Takagi. Later met with Minister of the Environment Tamayo Marukawa. Met with Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Akitaka Saiki and Intelligence and Analysis Service Director-General Satoshi Suzuki.


Met with Upper House member Ichita Yamamoto. Later met with Economic Revitalization Minister Nobuteru Ishihara, Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau Director General Tadao Yanase, Cabinet Office Vice-Minister Kenji Matsuyama and Cabinet Office Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination Masao Nishikawa.


Attended a signing ceremony with Mongolian Parliament Speaker Enkhbold.


Hosted a luncheon at his Official Residence.


Held a gathering with the disabled at the Kantei, followed by press interviews.


Attended a regular meeting of the Japan Business Federation [Keidanren] at Keidanren Kaikan conference hall.


Met with Shigeru Ishiba, minister in charge of overcoming population decline and vitalizing local economy in Japan, at the Kantei. Later met with Hiroshima Governor Hidehiko Yuzaki and Hiroshima City Mayor Kazumi Matsui.


Met with Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Seiichi Eto, followed by Minister of Defense Gen Nakatani. Later met with Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Hiroshi Hase. Met with Cuban First Vice President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel.


Held a joint meeting of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy and Industrial Competitiveness Council. Later held a cabinet meeting.


Met with Aiko Shimajiri, minister in charge of ocean policy and territorial issues, followed by Minister of Finance Taro Aso, MOF Administrative Vice-Minister Kazuho Tanaka and Director-General of Budget Bureau Jinichi Fukuda. Aso stayed behind.


Met with MOFA Director-General for Cultural Affairs Makita Shimokawa and Japan Foundation President Hiroyasu Ando. Later met with National Security Council secretariat head Shotaro Yachi, Deputy Vice-Minister for Foreign Policy Takeo Akiba and Chief of Staff, Joint Staff Katsutoshi Kawano.
