Monday’s Sankei wrote that today marks Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga’s 1,259th day in office, making his tenure in the post the second longest.  If he stays in office until July 7, his term will be the longest ever, surpassing that of Yasuo Fukuda, who served under Prime Ministers Mori and Koizumi.
