Okinawa designates part of Henoko area archaeological site

Tokyo Shimbun wrote that the Okinawa Education Bureau announced on July 20 that it has designated the part of the Henoko area where ancient clay pots and stone tools have been found an archaeological site based on the Cultural Assets Preservation Act. The Nago board of education plans to conduct detailed research on the site, which may affect the GOJ’s plan to relocate the Futenma functions to Henoko.
