This morning’s Okinawa Times reported on Monday’s meeting between LDP Policy Research Council Chairwoman Inada and Okinawa ConGen Ehrendreich, during which Inada emphasized the importance of improving SOFA administration and the education system for military personnel in the face of recent misconduct by members of the U.S. military community, including the murder of a local woman and several DUI incidents. She said: “If [additional] problems occur, they will cast a dark shadow over U.S.-Japan relations.”
