Nikkei wrote that Defense Minister Nakatani told the press on July 26 that the GOJ plans to resume at an early date the suspended construction work at Camp Schwab in preparation for Futenma relocation. The minister said that the planned work to renovate aging barracks is not directly related to the landfill work at Henoko that has been suspended since the GOJ and Okinawa accepted a court-mediated settlement in March.
