Inada says Japan should call for removal of comfort women statue

Monday’s Sankei took up remarks on a Sunday talk show by LDP policy research chief Inada, who said it is extremely important for Japan to demand the removal of a statue symbolizing the comfort women from in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul. While mentioning Japan’s pledge to contribute 1 billion to the Reconciliation and Healing Foundation, the politician emphasized that the removal of the statue is a key component of the bilateral comfort women agreement.
