Prospects dim for resumption of abduction talks

Yomiuri wrote today that although six months have elapsed since North Korea unilaterally announced the suspension of its reinvestigation into the fate of the Japanese abductees, the GOJ has failed to find a way to resume dialogue on the matter. The daily said the Abe administration has no choice but to wait for North Korea to ease its hard line toward Tokyo by enhancing pressure on it in coordination with the U.S. and South Korea.
