Japan, U.S., ROK urge four nations to adopt unilateral sanctions against DPRK

Asahi asserted that the GOJ, the USG, and the ROK government have jointly asked Singapore, Kuwait, Angola, and Malta to slap economic sanctions of their own on North Korea, including banning DPRK workers, in order to block its nuclear and missile development. The four countries have maintained relatively close economic ties with the Kim regime. Seoul has also pressed Uganda to sever its military connections with Pyongyang.
