PM Abe to visit Kenya on August 25

NHK reported online that Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga announced today that PM Abe will visit Kenya from Aug. 25 to 29 to attend the sixth summit of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) and demonstrate that the GOJ will support the development of Africa in cooperation with the private sector. The network quoted Suga as telling reporters: “It will be a historic meeting that will be held in Africa for the first time. Many business leaders and others will also visit the nation along with PM Abe. We would like to send out a message that both the public and private sectors in Japan strongly support African development.”
