Japan, China to resume environmental dialogue for first time in five years.

Nikkei reported on Monday that the governments of Japan and China are looking into resuming discussions at the bilateral “Joint Committee on Environmental Protection” next year, explaining that bilateral dialogue on the environment has been suspended since Japan’s nationalization of the Senkakus four years ago. The two parties are expected to discuss Japan’s technical assistance for dealing with pollution in China.
