Gov’t subsidies provided to political parties

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications provided a total of 7.994 billion yen in the third tranche of government subsidies to political parties in 2016. The subsidies to the political parties were calculated based on the results of the July House of Councillors election. The Japanese Communist Party did not apply for a subsidy. Following is a list of state subsidies provided to political parties:
