Japan, China, South Korea hold trade ministerial talks

Sunday’s Nikkei wrote that the trade ministers of Japan, China, and South Korea gathered in Tokyo on Saturday to discuss regional economy and trade. The ministers released a joint statement afterward in which they agreed to take measures “to counter every protectionist move.” They also pledged mutual efforts to exercise leadership to accelerate regional trade liberalization talks, such as a trilateral FTA and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
