CCS Suga: Japan to lead efforts to persuade U.S. to remain in TPP

Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga commented on President-elect Donald Trump’s announcement of the U.S.’s withdrawal from the TPP during the recording of a BS TV program on Nov. 23. He said: “Japan will take the lead in persuading the U.S. The U.S. is a country that understands the importance of free trade.
