On Feb. 16, the Japanese and U.S. governments decided to renovate six buildings and the pipelines in the Army Oil Storage Facility at the U.S. military’s Camp Courtney in Uruma City. This was agreed at a meeting of the Japan-U.S. Joint Committee held that same day. The existing facilities will be upgraded because they apparently were malfunctioning due to age and other reasons.
