Met with Secretary General Keizo Takemi of the Japan-U.S. Parliamentary Friendship League and House of Representatives member Akira Amari. Amari stayed behind.


Met with Reconstruction Agency Ambassador Kohei Uchimura.


Gave an interview to Fuji TV. Later met with Vice Defense Minister Tetsuro Kuroe, Defense Buildup Planning Bureau Director General Kenichi Takahashi, and Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency Commissioner Hideaki Watanabe.


Met with State Minister of Defense Kenji Wakamiya, National Security Secretariat Secretary General Shotaro Yachi, Kuroe, Defense Policy Bureau Director General Satoshi Maeda, Joint Staff Chief Katsutoshi Kawano, MOFA Foreign Policy Bureau Director General Kimihiro Ishikane and North American Affairs Bureau Director General Takeo Mori. Later met with International Peace Cooperation Headquarters Director General Akio Miyajima of the Cabinet Office, Kuroe, Kawano, and Ishikane.
