Abe, Hollande: Welcomed the agreement in the field of nuclear power and agreed to cooperate on maintaining the nuclear fuel cycle policy.
Abe: Solid security and economic cooperation between Japan, the EU, and the U.S is necessary for maintaining a free and open international community.
Hollande: Open trade is the core of a bilateral relationship.
Abe, Hollande: Affirmed commitment to reach an agreement at an early date on the framework for an economic partnership agreement between Japan and the EU.
Abe, Hollande: The French Navy’s training squadron will visit Japan at the end of April to conduct joint drills with Japan, the U.K., and the U.S. Japan and France will work together to help countries on the Indian Ocean build their capacities.
