Monday’s Nikkei claimed that Westinghouse plans to formally decide on Tuesday to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, predicting that the deconsolidation of the U.S. nuclear plant manufacturer will make it easier for its parent firm Toshiba to reconstruct its business operations. Westinghouse has reportedly sought assistance from the Korean Electric Power Group as a sponsor for its post-Chapter 11 reorganization.
