Japan names new ambassadors to Macedonia, 3 other countries

The Japanese government on Friday appointed new ambassadors to Macedonia, Albania, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe.


It tapped 62-year-old Keiko Haneda, consul general to Melbourne, and 60-year-old Makoto Ito, consul general to Denver, as ambassadors to Macedonia and Albania, respectively, effective next Monday.


The government also named Tamotsu Ikezaki, 62, consul general to Marseille, as ambassador to Burkina Faso and Toshiyuki Iwado, 60, consul general to Chicago, as ambassador to Zimbabwe, also effective next Monday.
