Former Ambassador Kennedy elected to Boeing board of directors

U.S. aerospace giant Boeing announced by Aug. 11 that it had elected former U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy to its board of directors. The 59-year-old daughter of President John F. Kennedy served at the U.S. Embassy Tokyo from November 2013 to January 2017. Boeing Chairman, President, and CEO Dennis Muilenburg issued a statement in which he said, “Ambassador Kennedy brings to the Boeing board professional, diplomatic and global perspectives that are highly valued in our rapidly evolving and increasingly competitive global business environment.”
