Left his private residence in Tomigaya.


Arrived at Haneda Airport.


Arrived at Ube Airport in Yamaguchi Prefecture on JAL flight 291.


Arrived at Yamaguchi Civic Hall in Yamaguchi City. Greeted at the entrance by Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasutoshi Nishimura, House of Councillors Tsuneo Kitamura and Yamaguchi Prefectural Governor Tsugumasa Muraoka. Attended and read his message of condolence at the funeral for former Home Affairs Minister Akira Fukida.


Arrived at Japanese noodle restaurant “Jozenan” in the city. Lunched with Upper House member Kitamura and a private secretary to the Prime Minister.


Arrived at Shikano Service Area on the Chugoku Expressway in Shunan City in the prefecture. Had photographs taken with people at the service area.


Arrived at the residence of the late former Yamaguchi Prefecture Assembly Chairman Motonari Hatahara in Iwakuni City to express his condolences. Governor Muraoka, Iwakuni City Mayor Yoshihiko Fukuda and Shungaku Yanai, the current assembly chairman, were present.


Visited the residence of late former Misumi Town (currently Nagato City) Assembly Chairman Kazuo Asamura and other residences of Asamura’s supporters to express his condolences.


Arrived at “Otani Sanso” hotel in Nagato City. Dined with senior members of the prime minister’s support group. His wife Akie was present.


Arrived at the venue of Yumoto Hot Spring Bon Festival in the city. Strolled around the venue, having photographs taken with and greeting participants.


Arrived at the hotel. Stayed there overnight.
