Met with Secretary-General of the National Security Secretariat Shotaro Yachi, MOFA Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Takeo Akiba, and Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau Director-General Kenji Kanasugi.


Met with Secretary-General Yachi, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Shinsuke Sugiyama, and Senior Deputy Minister Akiba.


Met with Secretary-General Yachi, Vice-Minister Sugiyama, Senior Deputy Minister Akiba, Director-General Kanasugi, and European Affairs Bureau Director-General Yasushi Masaki.

Arrived at Haneda Airport.


Departed Haneda Airport aboard a government plane for Russia to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum. Accompanied by Foreign Minister Taro Kono, Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Katsunobu Kato, Minister for Economic Cooperation with Russia Hiroshige Seko, and Minister of State for S&T Policy Masaji Matsuyama.

Arrived at Vladivostok International Airport in Artyom, Russia. Laid flowers at a memorial cenotaph for Japanese nationals who died in Soviet detention camps [in Siberia in the years after World War II]. Met with Japanese company representatives at Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. Held a summit meeting with Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga. Chatted with Japanese and Russian students. Stayed overnight in university accommodations.
