The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) decided at a meeting of its General Council on Nov. 7 to appoint former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Sanae Takaichi to head its cybersecurity headquarters.

As well, former Economic Revitalization Minister Akira Amari was appointed head of the party’s administrative reform promotion headquarters, while Diet Affairs Committee Chairman Hiroshi Moriyama will chair the headquarters for the TPP and the economic partnership agreement (EPA) with the EU.
