All Monday papers reported that residents and tourists in Hawaii were alarmed on Saturday morning after they received text messages on their mobile devices warning of a ballistic missile bound for the Pacific state. The warning turned out to be a false alarm sent in error by a local crisis management official. Hawaii Governor Ige offered an apology and promised to take thorough measures to prevent a recurrence.
