Futenma Daini Elementary School (Principal: Etsuko Kyan), which has closed its playground since a window fell off a U.S. military helicopter and landed there in December last year, announced during a parent meeting on Feb.1 that it will resume physical education classes in the playground on Feb. 5. Some parents who attended the meeting were puzzled, with one of them saying, “It’s too soon.” But others showed understanding for the school, with one calling the decision “good.” (Abridged)
