Gov’t provides Y7.9bn in subsidies for political parties

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) on April 20 provided a total of 7.943 billion yen in the first tranche of government subsidies to political parties in 2018 (total: 31.773 billion yen.)


Following is a list of state subsidies provided to political parties except for the Japanese Communist Party (JCP), which did not apply for a subsidy. (In order of the number of Diet members in the party as of Jan. 1. Numbers are rounded down to the nearest million yen.)
