In connection with the opening of a veterinary school by Kake Educational Institution, Shinjiro Koizumi, Chief Deputy Secretary-General of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), on June 6 said, “I want a special committee established (at the Diet.) That’s the true oversight of administration.” He also pointed out that a special committee is necessary to investigate and deliberate on the issue. He made the remarks at a meeting held by the LDP’s Research Commission on the Election System and others.

As for the report that Kake Educational Institution “provided false information (to the Ehime prefectural government)” that the school operator’s chairman Kotaro Kake met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Koizumi questioned, “It’s absolutely strange that (Kake Educational Institution) is telling a lie to Ehime Prefecture.”
