U.S. trade deficit with Japan shrinks 12.6% in May

Kyodo News reported from Washington on Saturday that according to the Commerce Department, the U.S. goods trade deficit with Japan shrank 12.6 % in May from the previous month to $5.49 billion. The deficit with China, meanwhile, expanded 18.7% to $33.19 billion, while that with the European Union narrowed 8.6% to $13.39 billion, the department said.
