Kadena Police Station in Okinawa Prefecture on Aug. 25 arrested Braddy Samrow [spelling not confirmed], a 30-year-old lance corporal stationed at the U.S. Air Force’s Kadena Air Base (in Kadena Town and other municipalities) on the spot on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Law (for driving under the influence of alcohol). The suspect is reportedly partially denying the allegation, saying, “I thought the alcohol was already out of my system.” He was arrested on charges of driving a passenger car under the influence of alcohol on a road in Kadena Town’s Kadena district at around 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 25.
