Strength of floor groups in Lower House

The House of Representatives parliamentary group “Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan and Citizens Club” on Sept.10 officially notified the Secretariat of the House of Representatives of the admission of independent Lower House member Junya Ogawa (Shikoku proportional representation bloc) to the group. Ogawa used to belong to the now-defunct Party of Hope. But he did not join the Democratic Party for the People when it was formed in May and had been working as an independent. The strength of parliamentary groups in the Lower House is now as follows:
