All national dailies wrote that Komeito chief representative Yamaguchi said at a news conference on Thursday that he will seek a sixth term by running in the party leader election slated for Sept. 30. With no other candidates expected to run in the election, Yamaguchi will likely stay on for another two years. He assumed his current post in 2009.
