The following is the gist of basic policies of the fourth reshuffled cabinet of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.


– Further accelerate reconstruction from the Kumamoto earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake and the recovery of Fukushima.


– Vigorously take measures for preventing/reducing disasters and building national resilience over the next three years.


– Completely exit from deflation with the three arrows of the Abenomics policy: aggressive monetary easing policy, flexible fiscal spending, and structural reforms.

– Create a society where women and all citizens can be more active by squarely confronting the falling birthrate and aging population.


– Engage in nationwide regional revitalization full of opportunities.

– Settling the accounts of Japan’s postwar foreign policy by resolving the territorial dispute and signing a peace treaty with Russia and raising Japan-China relations to a new stage.
