LDP officially names Inada chief deputy secretary general, fills other executive positions

At a meeting of its General Council on Oct. 9, the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) approved a number of appointments, including naming former Defense Minister Tomomi Inada as chief deputy secretary general. Other notable appointments are as follows:
