Governor Denny Tamaki is arranging to visit Tokyo on Oct. 11 to make courtesy calls on central government and political party officials on the occasion of his assumption of the governorship. This will be his first visit to Tokyo after his inauguration.
Tamaki is scheduled to meet with Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General Toshihiro Nikai and other officials on Oct. 11. He will also call on the other political parties on Oct. 12.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has also indicated that he will meet with Tamaki, “schedule permitting.” Coordination is underway to hold a meeting.
