Lawmakers visit Yasukuni Shrine

All networks reported at noon that a total of 71 lawmakers belonging to a nonpartisan group visited Yasukuni Shrine during its annual autumn festival on Thursday morning. The group visits the shrine for its spring and autumn festivals as well as on the anniversary of the end of the WWII on Aug. 15 every year. The network said Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Eto, Senior Vice Minister for Agriculture Takashima, and Parliamentary Vice Minister of Defense Yamada from the Abe cabinet were among the lawmakers that visited.
